It has been a privilege to coach Dominic since July 2025 as he makes progress on the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.  As his designated coach, my involvement was to help him document his progress towards the DofE 'Skills' element at Bronze level.  This involves developing your practical and social skills with an activity you enjoy.

Utilizing the Cueology data captured during our coaching sessions, and by following the WPBSA's "White to Black" coaching framework, Dominic was able to clearly demonstrate the resilience and progression he needed.  Working together, his improvement was clear to see, progressing rapidly, first to Red and then to Yellow certification by January 2026.

Beyond improving his skills on the table, Dominic has also demonstrated maturity and leadership skills by helping me with my coaching and supporting his peers.  This embodies the DofE "service to others" spirit.  His reliability and calm temperament make him an exemplary member of the Academy.

I am proud to have been Dominic's skills assessor for this part of his Duke of Edinburgh Awards journey, and I'm looking forward to supervising his journey as he now pursues his Green certification.
